If you ever used Sampulator, you’ll probably feel right at home. Unfortunately, Sampulator disappeared a while back. So we decided to make our own take on that idea!
Instant Inspiration
Open Play in your browser and you’ll find 16 playable pads, each loaded with sounds curated from our full collection of Form Audioworks sample packs. Every pad holds something unique, from textured drums and melodic loops to strange, evolving tones.
You don’t need a DAW or any setup. Just tap away, record ideas, and see where it takes you.
Built-In Sequencer
When you’re ready to go deeper, switch over to the sequencer.
Play includes a 4-track step sequencer that lets you record your pad performances in real time and fine-tune each hit afterwards. You can work in 16 or 32 steps, shape your sounds with per-step ADSR envelopes, and adjust pitch for more musical detail.
If you’re stuck for ideas, try the sample randomisation feature; it’s great for happy accidents and strange new combinations.
Share What You Make
Once you’ve made something you like, you can share it instantly. Play creates a simple link that anyone can open in their browser; no account, no signup, nothing.
Your projects stay online for 30 days, making it easy to send ideas to friends, collaborators, or just post a quick jam on socials.
